MORE MORE! The idea for this work dates back to a stay in the Amazon region in 2015, where the discrepancy between media advertising and ecological reality is clearly perceptible. Confronted with a constant promise of MORE – more comfort, more profit, more quality, and in any case more personal advantage – we increasingly find ourselves physically and mentally “at the limit” without immediately recognizing the pattern behind it: a commodity-like transformation and inversion of the promises into their exact opposite … As a site-specific video installation, the work was updated in 2024 as part of a large-scale exhibition project in a new district of Lisbon.
