MORE MORE! The idea for this video work dates back to a stay in the Amazon region in 2015, where the discrepancy between media advertising and ecological reality is clearly perceptible. Confronted with a constant promise of MORE – more comfort, more profit, more quality, and in any case more personal advantage – we increasingly find ourselves physically and mentally “at the limit” without immediately recognizing the pattern behind it: a commodity-like transformation and inversion of the promises into their exact opposite …
The work is periodically reimagined as a site-specific video installation; it is currently on view at the Museu Paço das Artes in São Paulo—and prior to that, in 2024, it was presented in a new neighborhood of Lisbon (as part of “Ocupar a Cidade” – PARTI-cipation X).
